Fire Prevention Week in Queens
The theme of Fire Prevention Week Oct. 5-11, as decided by Fire Prevention Canada (FIPRECAN), the national voice of fire safety and education, is “It’s Fire Prevention Week – Prevent Home Fires©.” FIPRECAN also launched Operation En Garde, a national year-long program designed to prevent residential fires nationwide. Shown are scenes from the Oct. 6 Fire Prevention Parade and one of many Queens Co. school visits.
