DES students add their efforts to Terry Fox’s
Youngsters at Digby Elementary School got an afternoon lesson in the power of one person when they went on a Terry Fox ‘run’.
The smaller children marched around the school’s soccer field, while the senior grades tackled the walk down Church Street to Water Street, along Montague Row and then up Hospital Hill to Victoria Street, and back to class.

The 383 kids at DES were asked by the walk’s organizers, vice-principal Gerald Reber and teacher Krista Oswald, to bring a ‘toony’ if possible for the Terry Fox Foundation and its fight against cancer.
