Clinics
October 2 Free, walk-in clinics every Thursday at Hutchins Pharmasave, Annapolis Royal. Have your blood pressure, blood glucose or blood cholesterol checked by staff nurse.
Auction
October 2 Nictaux Firettes Annual Chinese Auction at the Fire Hall, opens at 12:00, draw begins at 8 p.m. Lots of great items.
Jiggs dinner
October 2 At the Holy Trinity Church Hall, Middleton, 4:30 to 6:15 p.m. Enjoy corned beef, cabbage, etc. Adults $12, children under 12 $7. Sponsored by St. Joseph’s Men’s Club of the Parish if Wilmot. For Middleton deliveries, call 825-4758 by noon or 825-2326 by 4:00 p.m.
Turkey supper
October 2 At the Three Rivers Community Centre, 41 Messenger Road, Torbook, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., pie for dessert. Adults $9 and children $4.50.
Middleton Farmers' Market
October 3 Market held every Friday from 2 to 6 PM on Commercial St in Middleton (across from Town Hall). Produce, meats, breads, goodies, crafts - all from the Valley. Musical entertainment. Support Local.
Supper in Paradise

Cider Making
October 4 Cider Making Demonstrations will be held Saturday, Oct. 4 from 1 to 5 p.m. at North Hills Museum in Granville Ferry. Learn about cider making the old fashioned way with Jim Inglis. For information call 532-2168.
Ticket Auction
October 4 Come to Lawrencetown Hospital Auxiliary’s second annual ticket auction at Lawrencetown Fire Hall, doors open at 9 a.m., draw at 2 p.m. Also 50/50 draw and door prize, canteen available.

October 4 Annual Harvest Pantry Sale & Chinese Auction at the Annapolis Royal Fire Dept. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., held by the Auxiliary.
Fun Day for All
October 4 Celebrate St. Francis with our church family at St. James' in Bridgetown Saturday, Oct. 4. A fun day for children and parents, grandparents, or any who are young at heart. October 4 Annapolis Royal Fire Dept. will kick-off Fire Prevention Week at 10 a.m. with displays, barbeque and fire truck rides.

October 4 The Road Runners will perform at the Clementsport Legion starting at 9:30 p.m.

October 5 Come help the Clarence Baptist Church celebrate its’ 155th Anniversary at 7 p.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Leon Langille. Guest soloist is Michael Bailey.
New Minister

Scrap for the Cure

October 9 Mid-Valley after 5 Women's Connection invites ladies to a fundraiser for Village Missions – an outreach ministry of Stonecroft International, at Melvern Square Comm. Hall, 7 to 9 p.m. Enjoy dessert and coffee, guest speaker, and silent auction of works by local artists.
Retirement Party
October 10 The Annapolis Valley Exhibition is holding a retirement party for manager, John Longley on October 10 at the Lawrencetown Fire Hall. Social 6 p.m., Potluck Supper 7 p.m. and Dance 9 p.m. (The evening is casual and over 19.)
