The Valley Sport Swappers Wildcats fell to 1-4 on the season with three losses over the past week, two of them at home.

Jake Bullen and Justin Belanger had two goals each to lead the McDonalds. Shayne Sullivan, Mathew Pace and Kayleb Lazaric had the Valley goals.

The following day, Valley traveled to Pictou County, where they were blanked 3-0 by Pictou County Weeks. Garrett Holmes had a pair of goals for Pictou County, which led 2-0 after 40 minutes following a scoreless first period.

The Wildcats returned to home ice in Kentville Tuesday and came up on the short end of a 3-2 decision to the Canadian Tire Mustangs. Former Wildcat Logan Phillips’ goal at 12:05 of the third period broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Mustangs the win.
