(NC)—According to Barbara Schirmeister, colour/design consultant for window fashions leader Hunter Douglas, "Urban Chic" is the hottest colour palette this fall.
Urban Chic is defined as fluid neutrals that work together, like grays with taupes, taupes with creams, creams with white and black. These colours are soft, new-looking and contemporary – way beyond minimalism. They are very 21st century. We see them everywhere in apparel – gray, white, black, taupe – we can't get enough of them.
On trend as always, Hunter Douglas now offers its popular Silhouette window shadings, featuring soft fabric vanes suspended between two sheer facings, in a fabric that has colours both on the vanes and the sheers. Called the Matisse Collection of Coloured Sheers and Vanes it offers taupes with names like Brushed Gesso as well as more saturated hues.
