The NSSBL semi-final between the Kentville Wildcats and Dartmouth Moosehead Dry will go the distance.
The Wildcats forced a seventh and deciding game tonight in Dartmouth with a 3-1 sudden death win Saturday evening at Memorial Park.
Jeff Bishop, called up from the Hantsport intermediate Shamrocks, went the distance for the win, scattering nine hits and limiting the Moosehead Dry to a single run.
Dan Comeau's RBI single in the eighth inning spoiled Bishop's shutout bid, but by then the Wildcats had built a 3-0 lead with two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth off Trevor Zwann, who also went the distance, allowing just eight hits.
Ian Lockhart paced the Kentville offense with three singles and one RBI. Curtis Falls had two singles and Luke Smith an RBI single.
Robert Gillis singled and doubled for Dartmouth and Darren Doucette had two singles.
