RCMP investigate home invasion
RCMP Kings were called to a home invasion in Waterville around 1 a.m., Sept. 5.
Police said in a press release that a female occupant confronted the suspect in her living room. The male suspect is described as approximately 5'8", slim build, wearing a red/white bandana scarf over his face, exposing his eyes, a black baseball hat and dark clothing. The suspect was also carrying a black rod or stick in his left hand and demanded cash.
When other occupants in the home heard the commotion, he fled out the back door, the same way he entered. No one was injured and nothing was stolen.
RCMP made an immediate patrol and arrived within minutes; however, the suspect had fled the scene. Kings RCMP plainclothes and uniform members are investigating. Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP in New Minas at 679-5555 or anonymously via CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
