Avon View opens football season Friday

The Avon View Avalanche kick off their third season of high school football action on the road this Friday, Sept. 5.

The Avalanche will travel to Wolfville and Acadia University to face Horton, with game time set for 7 p.m.

The following weekend, Sept. 13, J.L. Illsley will supply the opposition for Avon View's home opener, with the game set for 4 p.m. in Windsor at the high school field.

The team has only four home games this season plus possible playoff opportunities. The following is how this year’s schedule shakes out:

AV vs J.L. Illsley – Saturday, September 13, 4pm @ AV

AV vs CK - Sunday September, 21, 5pm @ Acadia

AV vs Dartmouth – Sunday, September 28, 5pm @ Burnside

AV vs CPA – Sunday, October 5, 1pm @ AV

AV vs J.H. Gillis – Saturday, October 11, 2pm @ AV

AV vs CK – Saturday, October 18 11:30, am @AV

AV vs J.L. Illsley – Saturday, October 24, 2pm @ Burnside
