Training hard
The Acadia football Axemen have begun training in earnest for the 2008 season with daily sessions on the turf at Raymond Field. Acadia opens the season Friday, Sept. 5 at SMU with the home opener Saturday, Sept. 13 against Laval. Above, veteran James Michener, one of three quarterbacks on the Axemen roster as well as the team's first-string kicker, takes part in a passing drill. Below, head coach Jeff Cummins and his staff keep a close eye on the training progress and offer advice (and criticism) when required.
