Employer of Choice Pilot Initiative
Calling all employers! The Kings CED Agency is currently recruiting employers to be part of the Employer of Choice Program starting this September.
An Employer of Choice (EOC) is a company where employee and company needs are aligned to create a synergetic working environment. This pilot has been designed to mitigate the labour market challenges faced by Annapolis Valley employers by helping them become premier places to work.
Applications are due by September 19, 2008. For more information on how to apply, contact Colby Clarke, Development Officer, by phone at 678-2298 or via e-mail at colby@kingsced.ns.ca.

Corn will be provided, but please bring your favourite potluck dish. There will also be a dessert auction at 3 p.m. You are invited to bring your best dessert item for the auction. The highest bid takes the dessert.

Valley Women’s Business Network event
The Valley Women’s Business Network is pleased to kick off its fall season with a presentation by Shelley Wallace from Body Lingo. The event will take place Sept. 10, 7 p.m. at the Wandlyn Inn, Coldbrook.
This presentation will help you and your colleagues tap into your personal potential for more effective presentations, team dynamics, problem-solving and performance under pressure. Shelley will provide some tips on body language and how we can be more aware of what we are “really” saying.
