Police deal with rash of break-ins, thefts

The Annapolis detachment of the RCMP responded to 107 calls for assistance during the week of August 18 through August 25. Among these were seven false 911s, four false alarms, five motor vehicle accidents, and three domestic matters.

(Note: due to the sensitive nature of complaints involving sexual assault, domestic violence, children’s welfare and mental health, not all calls are considered appropriate for publication)

-- August 18 at 3:50 p.m. A caller reported a two-vehicle accident that happened in Springfield earlier that day. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

-- August 18 at 6:46 p.m. Police were called to a three-car accident in Middleton after one vehicle rear-ended a second one, causing a secondary collision with a third vehicle that was stopped at a crosswalk. No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

-- August 18 at 11:04 p.m. Police received a report of a possible impaired driver in Wilmot. A patrol was made and intercepted the vehicle that was being driven by a newly licensed driver.

-- August 19 at 10:22 a.m. A caller reported that a vehicle had been stolen from Springfield. The vehicle was later recovered in Kings County.

-- August 19 at 1:08 A Lequille caller reported that equipment had been stolen.

-- August 19 at 2:57 p.m. An attempted break and enter was reported in Lequille.

-- August 19 at 3:17 p.m. Police were called to a disturbance in Nictaux, after vehicles were damaged during a fight.

-- August 20 at 10:05 a.m. A caller reported a fraud in Paradise.

-- August 20 at 11:35 a.m. A caller reported that a generator had been stolen when a Clementsport shed was broken into.

-- August 20 at 2:22 p.m. A caller reported that a wallet was stolen from a vehicle parked in Middleton.

-- August 20 at 3:10 p.m. A caller reported that a Hamm radio had been stolen from a vehicle parked in Middleton.

-- August 20 at 3:20 p.m. A caller reported that a vehicle was entered in Middleton.

-- August 20 at 7:33 p.m. A Middleton caller reported threats and an assault.

-- August 20 at 8:41 p.m. A caller reported a theft of money in Port Lorne. The victim knows the suspect.

-- August 20 at 9 p.m. A caller reported that a purse had been stolen from a vehicle parked over night in Middleton.

-- August 21 at 1:50 p.m. A Wilmot caller reported that lawn ornaments had been stolen.

-- August 22 at 2:30 A Lawrencetown caller reported being harassed.

-- August 22 at 5:18 p.m. A Torbrook caller reported being threatened.

-- August 22 at 11:57 p.m. A Meadowvale caller reported a complaint of property damage after a pool was damaged.

-- August 23 at 9:56 a.m. A Round Hill caller reported that a quantity of firewood had been stolen. The charges were later deemed unfounded.

-- August 23 at 11:23 a.m. A Margaretsville caller reported tools stolen.

-- August 23 at 1:01 P.M. A Bear River caller reported an outboard motor stolen.

-- August 23 at 1:02 p.m. A Paradise caller reported a break and enter. Two interior doors were stolen.

-- August 23 at 5:25 p.m. A caller reported a motor vehicle accident after a dog was struck in Bridgetown.

-- August 23 at 5:48 p.m. A caller reported that an Arlington residence had been broken into.

-- August 23 at 8:37 p.m. Police were called to a disturbance in Moschelle, when a fight broke out.

-- August 23 at 10:24 p.m. Police were called to a Lawrencetown residence to deal with an unwanted and intoxicated visitor.

-- August 23 at 10:48 p.m. Police received a report of a two-vehicle accident in Springfield with a rollover and possible entrapment. A patrol was made and one car was damaged, but not overturned. Two youth are facing charges.

-- August 23 ay 11;07 p.m. Police were called to subdue a noisy party in West Dalhousie.

-- August 24 at 00:25 a.m. Police were asked to help locate a person missing from Bridgetown. The individual was later located.

-- August 24 at 10:50 p.m. Police received a report of a suspicious white mini van parked in Brooklyn.

-- August 24 at 12:21 p.m. A Torbrook caller reported that a vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was later recovered in Yarmouth. Two males, who had been seen earlier in a possibly stolen white mini-van, are facing charges.

-- August 24 at 8:56 p.m. A caller reported an assault in Wilmot.
