Coal Shed Music Festival growing
The Coal Shed Music Festival wrapped up on Sunday and already plans are in the works to turn the three-day event into a five-day event next August.
This was the second year for the festival which highlights local talent—individuals and groups. Last year’s inaugural festival was a two-day affair but this year the organizers felt a three-day event would serve to bring more local talent to the audience.
Even with the three days there are still many more local performers available, and expressing an interest in being on the Yarmouth waterfront’s coal shed stage, so the five-day event appears to be likely.
Organizers say donations to the food bank—collected on site in the Vanguard/NovaNewsNow van-- will approach what was collected last year. Money as well as food is collected throughout the festival for the food bank.
