RCMP investigate two-vehicle crash near St. Croix
Windsor District RCMP continues to investigate a non-fatal car collision that occurred on Highway 101 near the St. Croix Exit 4 turnoff during the early evening Aug. 19.
A vehicle traveling westbound left the road and collided with another unoccupied vehicle parked on the shoulder of the highway. The driver and her nine-year-old daughter were both transported to the Hants Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Windsor RCMP Cst. George Cameron said both the driver and the young girl are from the Halifax area.
“Police, fire and ambulance crews all attended the scene,” Cameron said, “and although the highway was not closed, traffic was slowed while damaged vehicles were removed.”
RCMP are investigating the crash and haven’t determined the cause as yet, Cameron added.
