These three were the lone spectators on the north side of the ring Tuesday afternoon at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition in Lawrencetown.

Of umbrellas and standing in doorways
After near record crowds on Monday, rain slowed visitors to a crawl Tuesday afternoon at the Annapolis Valley Exhibition in Lawrencetown. Many of those who did pass through the gate packed umbrellas or stuck to indoor venues such as the Youth Arena or demonstration building.
A handful of braver souls stood at the rail of the Main Ring under umbrellas as soaked horses and riders trotted out to perform. Others stood in doorways or under the awnings of concession stands. Rain gear and cowboy hats kept the bravest somewhat dry.
The rain may be short lived as Environment Canada called for cloud and sun but no rain on Wednesday.
