August 16 at Evergreen Theatre will see an evening packed full of music and song as Andrew White and Gillian Boucher bring their world-class act over the North Mountain to East Margaretsville.

White moved to Nova Scotia from England in 2003 and quickly established himself as one of the country's most sought after finger-style guitarists. Concert and festival audiences across Canada, Europe, and the South Pacific have been taken by storm with his technically amazing guitar playing and his soulful songs,

A local of Inverness, Cape Breton, Boucher has toured the world as a solo artist and with various ensembles, sharing the stage with the likes of Emmylou Harris, Natalie MacMaster, Capercaillie, The Battlefied Band and Tom Paxton. Her unique musical approach and cross-over between traditional Celtic music and contemporary makes her a sought after working musician in Canada and abroad.

OPENING ACT

James Murdoch and Nick Perreault open for White and Boucher. Murdoch, originally from the Yukon, has released four records and is hailed as being "a huge asset to Western Canada's presence in music." -- AnE Vibe

His most recent CD "In Transit" was produced by Hawksley Workman and has been featured on CBC's Definitely Not the Opera and by several other national media.

Perreault, originally from Newfoundland, has the gift of storytelling. His CD, "The Good Intentions," has been highly acclaimed by reviewers across North America.

Together, these two musicians and their accompanist Krispian Schmidt-Paborn woo their audience with gushing three-part harmonies and fantastic instrumental work on the mandolin, guitar, banjo, and piano.

The Saturday concert begins at 8 p.m. and tickets are $20. For reservations call 902-825-6834, email evergreentheatre@gmail.com or order directly from the website at www.evergreentheatre.ca
