Chilliwack headlining Queens County SeaFest
The eighth annual Queens County SeaFest will welcome Canadian rock legends, Chilliwack for a festival concert this year on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 24 at the Brooklyn Waterfront Park.
“We’re pleased to bring another Canadian rock legend to Queens County,” said Jean Robinson-Dexter, SeaFest Chair. “Our concerts have been a very successful part of SeaFest. We’re very excited to have Chilliwack this year – they’re considered pioneers of Canadian rock music.”
Since its beginnings over 30 years ago, Chilliwack has released 12 albums and had numerous hits in Canada and the U.S., including Lonesome Mary, Baby Blue, California Girl, Fly at Night, Communication Breakdown, I Believe, My Girl (Gone, Gone, Gone), Watcha Gonna Do When I'm Gone, and Lean on Me.
“Our concert is moving to Sunday afternoon this year, primarily due to the band’s travel schedule. The concert will be a ticketed event this year and held in the licensed Entertainment Tent. The ticket price is $15, with a special discounted price of $10 for fishing derby registrants,” explained Robinson-Dexter.
Tickets can be purchased/reserved by contacting Jean Robinson-Dexter and Cameron Dexter, 354-2397 or Tinie and Giffy Fralic, 354-3365 or info@queenscountyseafest.ca. Advance tickets will also be available at the Brooklyn Marina Aug. 16 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and at the SeaFest Information Booth during the festival.
