Three new faces at town hall
Middleton hires staff to fill vacancies

There are three new faces in the Town of Middleton’s recreation and public works departments.
At the last meeting of the Committee of the Whole, Clayton MacMurtry, acting chief administrative officer, introduced the three newest staff members to the town council.
Jennifer Coolen has been hired as director of Recreation and Community Services. She served as director of recreation for the Village of New Minas. A graduate of Acadia University, she has 11 years experience working in recreation services.
Jason Roch has been hired as foreman in the Public Works Department. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Biology and Environmental Science.
Roch has served in the Canadian Coast Guard and the Canadian Armed Forces, and has worked as a lab director and technician at St. Mary’s University.
Ryan Frelick has been hired as a water/sewer operator. Originally from Liverpool, Frelick graduated from Acadia University with a Bachelor of Science, specializing in Environmental Science.
