From August 1 to August 4, Annapolis Royal will be celebrating its annual Annapolis and District Natal Days and you are invited to spend the weekend with us.
Year after year, residents and visitors alike plan their summer getaways around the first weekend in August. Whether it’s the live entertainment, fireworks or Grand Street Parade people can’t seem to pass though without stopping and taking in all or a portion of the events.
Our opening ceremony kicks off the weekend Friday evening by getting your toes taping with Taylor Express at the Convergys’ opening ceremonies at 7 p.m. outside at ARRA. Don’t forget your lawn chair.
The Annapolis Royal Legion has already begun its second annual Karaoke Contest. Every Friday, contestants had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win $1000. Weekly winners move on to the finals Friday, Aug. 1 at the Legion.

Well how about joining us at the Fort Anne National Historic Site Sunday evening for the Ecumenical Service followed by the beautiful Coronation Ceremonies and topped with an unforgettable Sunset Ceremony and Beating Retreat by the Sea Cadets. Just imagine, sitting on a blanket watching the cadets and anticipating the sounds of the canons!
Wait! Don’t go home yet. Come dusk a spectacular fireworks show will light up the skies.
Rise and shine early Monday morning for a pancake breakfast, arts show, and our ever popular Farmers’ and Traders’ Market. At 10 a.m., watch for Little Bo Peep and Queen Annapolis Royal 2022, as the children’s parade will keep your camera clicking.
You’ll have two hours to stroll our streets, visit the unique shops, grab a bit to eat and find your spot along St. George Street, because here they come. One of a kind paper floats, princesses, marching bands, antique cars and so much more.
Did you buy your tennis ball? The weekend commences with the Tennis Ball Race Monday evening. By purchasing a ball, you will be supporting the continued success of our Natal Days and have a chance to win $500.
