Flower shop to hold grand opening

Small Town Dreams is having a big time grand opening on August 1.

Krista Zwicker took over the location of the former space of Every Blooming Thing and is inviting the town celebrate the grand opening with her.

Zwicker started working for Every Blooming thing in 2003 doing flower deliveries, and eventually learned the art of flower arranging. She took a course on flower arranging in 2004, and had a knack for it.

“I graduated into flowers and everything pretty much came naturally,” she said.

From then on her dream was to someday own a flower shop.

That chance came when the owner of Every Blooming Thing, Kilby Nickerson, moved away. Zwicker took over the business and is enjoying every minute of it.

“It was all meant to be and all fell in place. I love it,” said Zwicker.

To make the business her own, she decided to rename the shop ‘Small Town Dreams’; something she feels will mean something to Liverpool.

Small Town Dreams isn’t just flowers either. Zwicker has brought giftware back to the store, something she hopes will bring in more browsers.

Zwicker also aims to make the experience a personable one for her customers. She says it is very important to have an ongoing relationship with the customer, and to take that extra step to show people she cares.

“I want everyone walking out to be happy. It’s very important to me,” she said.
