Tractor-trailer overturns on Highway 101
Annapolis RCMP Traffic Services are investigating a single motor vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer that occurred on Highway 101 near Mount Uniacke yesterday afternoon at approximately 3:30 pm.

A tractor-trailer heading West in the North West bound lane, went out of control, crossing over the median and across the two East bound lanes, resulting in the vehicle rolling over in the ditch on the South side of the East bound lane.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the Hants Community Hospital and was treated for minor injuries and released. Due to the usage of seatbelt the operator of the vehicle did not receive serous injuries.

Highway 101 East bound lanes were reduced to a single land while the tractor-trailer and its load were removed by heavy tow equipment.

The investigation into the accident continues by the RCMP Traffic Services from Windsor

My brother was driving that truck, and it's amazing that he's alive. This article does not do justice to how incredible it is that he is alive, let alone able to walk away. They didn't mention the fact that his truck flew about 150 feet and about 35 feet high in the air, above 2 oncoming vehicles without touching any of them. Or the 100 tonnes of cooking oil that were in the trailer that miraculously did not hit him from behind when the cabin (or what was left of it after having flipped a couple times) slammed up against the rock wall. If anyone has photos, please email them to me at Jerry@ZoomJer.com. Thanks,

-Jerry
