There is a lot to do in Granville Ferry this summer. North Hills Museum is hosting a variety of workshops and events that will interest a broad range of age groups and tastes. The Museum has been open to the public since the 1970s. It was bequeathed to the province by Robert Patterson, a banker and antique dealer who restored the c.1764 house as his retirement home. He filled the house with his beautiful Georgian collection (1714-1830) which remains intact today and presents a feast for the eye to all who visit. The house maintains its homey atmosphere with all the contents arranged as Patterson left them.

In keeping with Patterson’s love of Granville Ferry, North Hills Museum is presenting a series of events focused on activities that celebrate community life. The program includes creative workshops, artisan events, and musical/cultural celebrations. This year we will also celebrate Patterson and his gift to the people of Nova Scotia with a party on August 23 recognizing what would have been his 100th birthday year.

The staff and volunteers of North Hills Museum invite the community of Granville Ferry and beyond to join with them for this special year of celebration.

A detailed Program of Events is available online at www.annapolisheritagesociety.com (click on events). You may also call 902-532-2168.

The Annapolis Heritage Society manages North Hills Museum on behalf of the Nova Scotia Museum. The society's mandate is to preserve, promote and present the history of the Annapolis Royal region.
