It was the first time in a number of years that Lawrencetown held Canada Day celebrations, and according to organizer David Spears it was a major success with between 200 and 300 people showing up at the library parking lot between 1 and 3 p.m.

The event included lots of food and entertainment, face painting, a 'wall of water' set up y the fire department, a kids' ride, and of course lots of Canadian flags and a Canada Day cake.

The event was organized by the Lawrencetown and District Swimming Pool Committee, a sub-committee of the Lawrencetown Village Commission with donations by A.J.'s Grocery.
