Bertha Brannen accepted $2,500 for a partnership program between South West Health, Nakile Home for Special Care and the NSCC that organizes free community talks on a wide variety of topics.
“We hope to continue this forever…. if we get funding,” said Brannen, causing the crowd to chuckle.
The ‘Families in Motion’ program, an initiative of Early Childhood Support, received $1,270.
A cheque for $1,654 was directed towards the Hebron Community Playground and $1,200 was slated for the West Pubnico Health Club.
