Lots to do at the Yarmouth library in July


The Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Library is offering plenty of programming to keep youngsters busy in July as part of the Children’s TD Summer Reading Club.

Children ages four to 12 will be Having a Gas at the Library on Thursday, July 10 from 3 to 4 p.m. Participants are asked to register before July 10 for this program by calling the branch at 742-5040 or e-mailing yarmouth@nsy.library.ns.ca.

The Three Little Pigs will pay a visit to the library from 3 to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 24. This puppet show is for all ages and tells the real story of the Three Little Pigs versus that of the well-known children’s tale. Participants must register for this program by Saturday, July 19.

July ends with a Penny Carnival on Thursday, July 31 from 3 to 4 p.m. Children of all ages can come to the library for a penny carnival featuring all kinds of games – bean bag toss, a fish pond, face painting and more. Register for this program by Monday, July 28 .

If you are e-mailing in your registration, include the event name in the e-mail subject line and your name and phone number in the e-mail. Participants must be enrolled in the Summer Reading Club to participate in all of these library programs. The library is located at 405 Main St. in Yarmouth.
