Making messes, gases and laughing at the Pubnico library




Gooey messes, laughter and gas are on the programming menu in July during the TD Children’s Summer Reading Club at the Pubnico Branch Library.

July begins with Messing Around and Having Fun on Saturday, July 5 from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Participants will be making a gooey craft. This program is for children ages five to nine.

From 10 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, join the library staff for the Laugh Out Loud program with fun, jokes and crafts. This program is for children ages five to nine.

Laughing, Walter the Farting Dog and gas are what We’re Having a Gas at the Library is all about on Thursday, July 24 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. This program is for children ages four to 12.

These programs are part of the library’s children’s Summer Reading Club. The club is for children from birth up to the Grade 6 level and it offers prizes, reading rewards and fun library programs throughout the summer. When participants reach their goal, they receive a FastPass to Upper Clements Park and a chance to win great prizes including the grand prize of a bicycle from Manser’s Bike Shop in Yarmouth. The program runs from June 22 through Aug. 22.

All programs are bilingual and there is no pre-registration required. For more information contact the library at 762-2204. The branch library is located at 35 Highway 335 in Pubnico Head.
