Paul Stockall, a member of the Digby Pines golf club, is among players at 144, just seven strokes off the lead after two rounds at the Nova Scotia Mid-Amateur championship being played at Clare Golf and Country Club.
Stockall, a Halifax resident with a summer home in the Digby area, is one of three golfers at 144, trailing Aaron Nickerson of River Hills.

Cleveland Theriault, with a two-round total of 156, and Tim Bates with 196 are the only other golfers from the Digby Pines club taking part.

The 6,146-yard course plays to a par of 71.
