Welcome Wagon Award for Kentville

Kentville was honoured by Welcome Wagon as the best Atlantic Canadian community for 2007 (population under 10,000). This is the second consecutive year that Kentville has received this award.

“I am honoured that our community is being recognized with this award,” says Mayor David Corkum. “Kentville is a great place to live and we are lucky to be able to offer such a great quality of life to our residents.”

The Kentville and Area Welcome Wagon represents businesses from Berwick to Wolfville. To be eligible for the award, a community has to offer the Welcome Wagon’s three basic programs: visits to families who move; expectant or new parents; and couples planning a wedding. The initiative is well supported by local Kentville businesses.

For more information, visit the Town of Kentville’s website at www.town.kentville.ns.ca.
