For those who are new to us, our "Bloom Report" is a weekly update on the Historic Gardens (Annapolis Royal) using current photos.
We've had terrific feedback on the photographic Bloom Reports since I started doing them in 2006.
Members find them handy in planning their visits to the Gardens, while accommodations and Visitor Information Centres use them to keep their staff up to date on "what's in bloom" so they can better promote the Gardens.
And then there are folks who simply enjoy the pictures and forward the email to family from away, just to make them a wee bit homesick!
Whatever your reason, we hope you enjoy... but if you wish to be removed from our list please do not hesitate to email us.
The format is an email with just a couple photos and below these, a bit of information. Dozens of photos and the actual Bloom Report itself are then available to you at the click of the mouse through our website link as shown below these photos.
The Gardens look terrific, just coming into our peak June bloom period. The laburnum, rhodies and azaleas, irises... and of course, the lilacs.
And as you enjoy a drive through the Valley you'll be treated to the blues and pinks of the roadside lupins coming into bloom.
Our hours for most of June will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
We are now on our regular season rates of Adults $8.50, Seniors and Students $7.50 and Family $22.50, tax included.
(Season passes are still the greatest bargain in town: Adults $30, Seniors and Students $25 and Family $65.)
