Safety at the local bike rodeo
Milton Centennial School’s fourth annual bicycle rodeo gave students a chance to learn and drive their bikes through an obstacle course on June 5.

“All bikes were fixed by Alan Parlee of Adventure Outfitters in Brooklyn,” said vice principal Roseanne Williams.

He safety inspected them as well.

Two RCMP constables gave a safety talk to the children before they took their bicycles outside to try out the obstacle course.

Williams said everyone was well fed and a free bicycle and six helmets were won by students at the end of the day.

Chandlers Funeral Home is a “huge” sponsor of the bicycle rodeo, added Williams.

There were also parent volunteers.
