Avoid consequences of teen pregnancy
Letter to The Hants Journal
I am shocked to hear that Avon View High School had an assembly for Grades 10,11 and 12 on sexual matters and
did not inform the parents what was going to take place. Why wasn’t there a note sent home?
Sex is personal. It must be treated with decency. Something you do not discuss openly. Let alone to group of students. I am appalled that such learning institution would allow this kind of “sex forum” that is totally inappropriate and out of character.
To avoid unwanted pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases, young people should live a chaste lifestyle until they become mature and responsible for their actions, or save it for marriage. The virtue of purity. How many girls out there become pregnant due to sex education in our schools?
These children are not even ready to have kids, “babies having babies.” They usually end up a single mom without a husband to support them and nurture their child. And there go your tax dollars, folks!
