Residents of Port Williams were involved in many ways over the Apple Blossom weekend. The Pancake Breakfast by the Men’s Group at the Baptist Church gave participants a hearty breakfast. Many village residents were involved in the Children’s Parade and the Grand Street Parade. Congratulations to the Lions Club for their beautiful float that won second prize as Most Outstanding.

There were over 50 people at our Royal visit Sunday afternoon. We had excellent music with Ken Bezanson and the Rand family, and Village Commission chair Lewis Benedict was the master of ceremonies.

The princesses introduced themselves then Queen Annapolisa Amanda Walker spoke briefly, as did our princess Katelyn Pulsifer, who gave a gift to her child attendant Sophia Lazaric.

Lion Jerry Atwater presented a cheque as our contribution to the festival. Sophia presented gifts to the princesses. On behalf of the Library Association, I presented Katelyn with a lifetime membership to the library. There was time for the princesses to mingle before they headed to Hantsport for supper.

Many more photos of the events of the weekend can be viewed online at the Village Photo Gallery on the Port Williams website www.portwilliams.com
