made for a successful and fun year for the cadets.
During the course of 2007/2008, our cadets have had many opportunities and outings that would not have been possible without the generosity of the community and the great volunteers working with the squadron. Some of the
activities available for the cadets include: Citizen Exchange with Amherst: with activities including ice skating, visiting a farm, the Oxford Blueberry
Museum, Queens County Museum and the Lunenburg Fisheries Museum.
Glider and Power flying, sleepovers overnight at the Lions Club, sports, dances, music training, camp out at Long Lake Church Camp Aurora Cup – CFB Greenwood.
Over the summer the cadets will attend summer camps and the Air Cadets will employ others. In total we have 18 cadets attending camp that will include: private pilot training, leadership, riffle training, instructional
techniques, air traffic control, aviation and music. The camps are located from British Columbia to Newfoundland. The Department of National Defense provides these courses that provide transportation to and from the camp,
accommodations and spending money. There are many opportunities in the cadet program.
