Walker new Apple Blossom Festival queen
Digby's Amanda Walker was crowned Queen Annapolisa LXXVI at the Apple Blossom coronation ceremonies tonight in University Hall at Acadia University.
Kelly Erin Grandy, Princess Windsor, was first lady in waiting and Jessica Danielle MacCulloch, Princess Berwick, was second lady in waiting.
Amanda Dawn Walker is the 19-year-old daughter of Lori
VanTassell and Kenneth Walker of Digby. She has completed her second year of a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience with a double minor in biochemistry and French at Memorial University in Newfoundland.
She intends to pursue a career in medicine.
Her biography says she enjoys reading, playing the piano, sports, traveling, volunteering, working with children and spending time with family and friends.
Vanessa Pulley of Digby, who was Scallop Queen 2004, served as Queen Annapolisa in 2005.
