Bay of Fundy Information Session

You are invited to attend a Bay of Fundy Information Session Wednesday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (location to be determined by numbers attending).

Presentations will be made by representatives from Nova Scotia Department of Tourism (speaking on new product areas and the Bay of Fundy Star Generator Project) and Terri McCulloch from the Bay of Fundy Tourism Partnership.

Technology Road Trip

Representatives from business and industry are invited to attend a Technology Road Trip: “Discovering advanced network connections locally and globally – a tour of Hibernia Atlantic and the N.S. connection point for multiple advanced networks”. This tour of two Halifax facilities will be of interest to those who are searching for an increased understanding of high-speed data networks.

The road trip will be held June 13, from 8:15 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will meet at the New Minas 101 Carpool Parking Lot. There is a cost of $25, and includes travel, tour and lunch. Pre-registration is required by June 6.

Annual General Meeting

Community partners, Kings CED Agency members and the general public are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Kings Community Economic Development Agency Thursday, June 12 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. The AGM will be held in the Annapolis Mess at 14 Wing Greenwood.

Guest speaker will be Dr. Robert Summerby-Murray, Dean of Social Sciences, Mount Allison University, who will speak on the socio-economic impact of heritage tourism on rural Maritime communities.

A dinner will be provided and 2008-2009 membership dues can be paid at the door.
