Arson investigation continues; suspects released without charges
The RCMP have released two adult male suspects from custody without any charges.

The pair had been arrested at the scene of a suspected arson on May 19. Constable Mark Connell says there was no evidence to warrant the laying of charges.

The RCMP is still investigating two suspicious May 19 fires involving apartment units in the downtown.

On this evening, the Yarmouth Fire Department was responding to a fire on Cliff Street when they were alerted to another one on Clements Street, about a block away.

Fire department and RCMP investigators have determined that these were set fires. The fires were put out by the fire department, with minimal damage to the structures.
