A camper and friend celebration will be held at Camp Peniel, May 30-31. Registration 6:30, Depart, 3. Cost $20 for ages seven-17. Overnighter with video, games, Bible study, sing-along.

Yard sale

There will be a yard sale - Saturday May 31 (8-12 p.m.) at the Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School in the parking lot.

Concert

YFD open house

The Yarmouth Fire Department will host an open house/fun day Saturday, May 31 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. BBQ, face painting, dunking booth, yard and craft fair. Prizes. (Rain date: Saturday, June 14.)

Dance

Rappie pie supper

There will be a rappie pie supper at Temple Baptist Church, 5 Bond St., May 31 from 4 until 6 p.m. Deliveries available in town to seniors by calling the church office at 902-742-1867. Take-outs available and donations at the door.

Fundraiser

June 1

There will be a fundraiser for St. Gabriel’s Church repairs at the Comeau’s Hill hall on Sunday, June 1, at 12 p.m. Ham and scallop potatoes or ham and baked beans, roll dessert and tea or coffee. $6. There will also be a bake sale, Chinese auction 50/50 draw and tickets sold on lobsters.

Show and shine

Show and shine (motorcycles) takes place at the Red Knight on Starrs Road, Sunday, June 1 (rain date June 8). Registration 11 a.m. Small ride, prizes and awards.

Jam

There will be a jam with Gary Greene and Friends, June 2, 7 p.m. at the Central Argyle Community Hall. Donations at door, lunch will be served. Event is to support the hall.

This year's TREPA-walkathon (Walk for the environment

Creamed lobster supper

The East Pubnico Fire Department will hold its annual creamed lobster supper on Sunday June 8 at the East Side Community Centre from 4 to 6 p.m. Price: adults $12, children 5-12 $6 and under 5 is free. Price includes dessert and drink.

June 7 is International Trails Day and representatives of the Yarmouth County Trail Development Association will be on the trail at the Prospect Street crossing, Tusket and Highway 340 in South Ohio to say hello, thank you for support and to answer questions.

Veterans’ reunion planned
