Full Circle Farm’s Charles Summers and a team of volunteers organized the first “new farmers gathering” May 17 and 18 in Garland. The event gathered diverse and passionate “homesteaders,” looking to share information and experiences growing food, caring for animals and living naturally. Summers’ simple farm, barns and gardens were the backdrop for horse tillage and woodworking demos, workshops on crop growth and care - and lots of food and fun.
