PHOTO ESSAY: Team Canada takes on the world at IIHF tournament
Canada is one of the nations competing at the International Ice Hockey Federation world championship which is being held in Halifax and Quebec City, marking the first time Canada has ever hosted the IIHF event.
The 16 participating nations include Canada, USA, Latvia, Slovenia, Finland, Germany, Norway, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Italy, Russia, Belarus, France, Sweden, and Switzerland.
Halifax and Quebec City are hosting the preliminary, qualification and quarter final rounds, while the semi-finals and finals will take place in Quebec.
The Halifax portion of the event runs to May 14.
