Keji bans alcohol during long weekend
Campers are being warned that possession of alcoholic beverages at Kejimkujik National Park is prohibited from noon Friday, May 16, to noon on the following Monday.
Park officials said the prohibition is in place to ensure that campers experience a peaceful, enjoyable long weekend.
Campers are advised that excessive noise or rowdy behaviour will not be tolerated, and RCMP will conduct vehicle spot checks looking for alcohol.
Infractions of the alcohol ban will result in cancellation of camping permits and eviction from the park. Offenders will also be charged for illegal.
