Sports Hall of Fame inducts new members
The Yarmouth Town and County Sports Heritage Association held its 2008 Hall of Fame induction banquet Saturday evening at the Grand Hotel, adding five individuals and a team to its list of members.
Inducted during the May 3 ceremonies were Greg Doucette (bodybuilding), Bev Gallagher (builder – golf), Scott Jeffery (baseball), Barb Muise (running), Pat Nickerson (golf) and the local 2006 under-18 men’s curling team (Jason Fitzgerald, Joseph Boudreau, Eddie Deveau, Ben Pothier and coach Al Mohle).
This was the sports heritage association’s 11th induction dinner, an event held annually since 1998.
