Princess Port Williams 2008 Katelyn Pulsifer was crowned at the Apple Blossom Festival Princess Candlelight Dessert Party Fri., April 25 at the Community Centre.
Sponsored by the Women’s Institute and the Lioness Club, the event was very well attended. Kara Scallion, Princess Port Williams 2007, was the Mistress of Ceremonies and made the introductions. Princess candidate Katelyn Pulsifer spoke on the theme of this year’s festival, “Our Future Blossoms”.
The large variety of desserts was easily available as tables were set up at both ends of the hall. The servers of tea and coffee were quick to make their way around the many tables.
Queen Annapolisa 75th Kathryn Cleveland and many former and current princesses were in attendance. Cleveland brought greetings, as did Cathy Briggs, Apple Blossom Festival President.
Kara gave her tearful parting remarks and then Katelyn was crowned and presented with her sash, flowers and financial support from the Village and the dessert party.
Katelyn is the 20-year-old daughter of Stephen and Angel Pulsifer of Port Williams. She has just completed the third year of her Business Administration degree at Acadia and intends to pursue a career in Human Resources.
Katelyn’s child attendant is Sophia Lazaric, the eight-year-old daughter of Danny and Lisa Lazaric of Port Williams.
