Rugby players at Digby Regional High School take to their home field Thursday, April 17, for the second game of their brief spring season.
The squad is playing Avon View at 5:30 p.m., and is hoping to improve on its 0-6 record from last year.
The Digby boys were also scheduled to play an away game Tuesday against West Kings, but results were unavailable by press time. West Kings, with just one win last year, might be the fairest competition for Digby where rugby remains a still-developing sport.
The rest of the schedule sees Digby home again April 22 against Middleton. They then face last year’s dominant team Kings-Edgehill in an away game April 24.
A tournament April 26 will see Digby playing Horton and Central Kings.
