Pair facing drug charges after search warrant executed at Comeau's Hill residence

Charges are pending against a male and female from Yarmouth County after the RCMP executed a search warrant at a residence in Comeau’s Hill the evening of April 14.

The RCMP alllege the search resulted in the seizure of evidence to support an indoor hydroponics grow operation. The RCMP say they seized several items, including lighting equipment, pots and marijuana plants at various stages of growth. The RCMP say charges of production of marijuana and possession for the purpose of trafficking in marihuana are pending.

Members of the Yarmouth Rural RCMP, the Yarmouth Street Crime Enforcement Unit and the Yarmouth Drug Section executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at the residence.

The people facing charges have not yet been named.
