West Hants Middle School presents Annie Junior
For a great family night out, you can’t beat West Hants Middle School’s production of Annie Junior, playing April 24, 25 and 26 at 7 p.m. at the school.

Annie Junior is an abridged version of the Broadway hit Annie, which tells the story of Little Orphan Annie -- played by Danielle Meuse -- and her quest to find her parents. Annie escapes from the drudgery of the orphanage and the mean Miss Hannigan, Kerri Beasley, when she is selected to spend Christmas with the billionaire Daddy Warbucks, Alex Hare, and his secretary Grace, Emily Hughes. When Warbucks offers a reward of $50,000 to any couple who can prove they are Annie’s parents, Miss Hannigan’s shady brother Rooster, Jamie Kelland, and his girlfriend Lily, Jodie Robia, hatch a plan to get their hands on Annie and the money.

From the opening scene of Annie and her fellow orphans dreaming of a happy home, to the hilarious antics of Rooster and his cronies, the audience will be captivated by the sheer energy and fun of this young cast.

As well as putting many long hours into rehearsals, students and teachers are busy painting sets and preparing the sound and light systems. As with so many activities at the school, a large number of people are jumping in with enthusiasm to make this production a hit.

Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at Moe’s Music, the Windsor Home Hardware, the Brooklyn Grocery Store and Avon View. They may also be purchased at the door.
