Workshops key on Pap test, breast health

The West Hants Pap Test and Breast Health Promotion Team recently conducted a training session for six ladies keen to learn about women’s health.

Dr. Judy Kazimirski was guest speaker and she provided a wealth of information about Pap testing.

The goals of our team are to provide information about breast health; to encourage and educate women how to become familiar with their breasts; to promote good health with reference to Canada’s Food Guide; and to encourage women of all ages to take charge of their own health.

Members of the team assist at the Well Women’s Clinic at the Hants Community Hospital (call 792-2034 for an appointment), give presentations and attend health fairs in the community.
