Swinging and jitterbugging into spring
Spring Swing Fling in Bear River will be a chance not just to listen to swing tunes from the Shoestring Swing band, but Lindy hop or jitterbug as well.
The concert will be held May 3 from 8-11 p.m. in Oakdene Centre and features the swing band and a jitterbug demonstration by Laurel Shishkov.
For those who would like to join in the dancing, Shishkov is offering some tips for beginners Sunday afternoons in April from 2-4 p.m. The lessons are free and begin April 6.

Tickets are available at Digby Clippers on Water Street or at the door, and a portion of the ticket price benefits Oakdene Centre.
