Celebrations for Heritage Month at the Musée acadien in West Pubnico

February is Heritage month and activities are planned in February to celebrate the Acadian heritage at Musée acadien in West Pubnico.

Here’s a schedule of what’s planned:



Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28 - Acadian arts and crafts demonstration Thursday afternoon at the Musée acadien, West Pubnico.

Start Time – 1 to 3:30 p.m. Donations accepted

Feb. 14

Valentine’s Day

Sale and demonstration of arts and craftss

at the museum

1- 3 p.m. - Free admission

Among the items: decorated heart shaped grape vine wreaths, hooked rugs,

-circular grape vine wreaths, heart shaped coasters, pot holders,

-pin cushions, quilt with hearts, display of old Valentines

Tea and coffee $ 3 per person

There will also be a display of Valentines

starting at 7 p.m.





Feb. 18

Heritage Day

Musée acadien & Centre de recherche, West Pubnico. Start time, 9 a.m., arts and crafts demonstration 1 – 4 p.m. – Heritage tea, fashion show and story teller Laurent d’Entremont as well as exhibits on history $5 per person.
