Woman arrested in relation to thefts
Barrington RCMP are asking people to remember to lock their vehicles and hide valuables left inside after a 56 year-old Clark’s Harbour woman was arrested in relation to a string of thefts from vehicles parked in Barrington on Friday evening.
Barrington RCMP began receiving reports from car owners about items missing from their vehicles as they shopped at several different stores in the Barrington Passage area as early as 7:30 p.m. A quantity of cash, purses, CDs and other personal items, even the keys to one of the vehicles, were reported missing following the thefts.
The woman was arrested during a stop of the vehicle she was driving was conducted a short distance from her home. She has been released on conditions and is scheduled to make her first court appearance in
Barrington on Jan. 31.
Barrington RCMP is continuing their investigation and urge anyone with any information to call 902-637-2325.
