South Shore Wild win one at home
On Dec. 21, South Shore Wild played Yarmouth Tri-Admirals in Yarmouth and lost 7-4. The game started out good, with goalie Matt VanWhychen playing his heart out, keeping the score tied at one apiece.
With the score 2-1 for Yarmouth, to start the third period, the Wild got behind 6-1 before starting a come-back.
Although the South Shore team lost, the come-back was enough to help the Wild win their third game 6-2 on Dec. 22 against Yarmouth at home.
Scorers were Justin Hanley with two, and Justin MacDonnell, Dan Wilban, Aron Sawyer, and Nick Handspiker with one goal each. Nat Dagley stopped 37 of 39 shots for the win.
The Wild players find themselves on a three-game road trip Dec. 28-30 in Halifax, New Waterford and Springhill.
They play their next home game on Jan. 5 against the Halifax Thunder at 8:15 p.m.
