Gail Benoit and Dana Bailey appeared in Digby court together Monday, Dec. 10.

The Roxville couple are both charged with animal cruelty under the Criminal Code and Nova Scotia’s Animal Cruelty Prevention Act.

Benoit also faces charges of resisting a police officer, assaulting a police officer, and damaging property.

Justice Jean-Loius Batiot adjourned the case until Monday, Feb. 18.

Asked for a comment outside the courthouse, Bailey responded that reporters should speak to his lawyer.

Benoit responded, “I just want to know who is going to play my part in the movie.”
